Tournament, Fairdale, Relies on Perimeter Shooting to Win Consolidation
Bracket and Take Fifth Place

Area Charitable Organizations Have Successful Holiday Season
The four Southwest Jefferson County Charitable Organizations, Southwest
Area Ministries, Shively Area Ministries, Fairdale Ministries and
South Louisville Ministries have had quite a holiday season, but
the contributions need to keep coming and more volunteers are needed.

Host Fairdale Wins Consolidation Bracket and Fifth-Place in the
King of the Bluegrass Boy's Basketball Tournament
They came from all over the Southeast United states
to play in the prestigious tournament and host Fairdale High lost
one game to eventual champion Male High. However, in the consolation
bracket, fairdale used outside shooting and rode the accuracy and
fine play of Jaquan Ransom to run through the consolation bracket
and take fifth-place.

UK Wins Back-to-Back Bowls for First Time Since 1952
Not since the days of Paul "Bear" Bryant has Kentucky
ended two seasons with consecutive bowl wins. The latest comes at
the expense of a scandal and suspension plagued Florida State Seminoles
team. However Andre Woodson had a career day to end his run at UK,
including 4 TD passes.
